LitCon Opens Early: Learning That Meets the Moment

Published On: January 28th, 2026 | Categories: Latest News |

Winter weather may be unpredictable, but great professional development doesn’t have to be.

LitCon National K-8 Literacy Conference arrived with winter weather across many regions, but instead of letting snow slow us down, we used it as an opportunity to open LitCon six days early.

Educators who were snowed in were able to jump right in with early access to On-Demand sessions, turning unexpected time at home into meaningful, flexible professional learning.

This early opening reflects what this year’s Virtual LitCon is all about: meeting educators where they are, honoring their time, and providing access that works in real life. Avoiding travel costs and weather delays was just a bonus!

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us on opening day—early, cozy, and ready to learn. And we’re proud to be part of a community that knows great learning doesn’t wait for perfect conditions.

Stay warm. Stay curious. And enjoy LitCon!

Missed opening day? You’re not too late.
The expanded LitCon schedule runs through the end of February, giving you plenty of time to explore sessions, revisit ideas, and learn at your own pace.
