In Loving Memory of Billie J. Askew

The Reading Recovery Community reflects on the loss of a dear friend and mentor. Billie J. Askew was loved by many in the Community and beyond for her brilliance, grace, humor, and exceptional kindness. Her contributions to Reading Recovery reverberate through the educators she inspired to the youngest learners in whom her influence took root.

Donations in Billie’s memory may be made to either the Billie J. Askew Endowment, Texas Woman’s University or to the Billie J. Askew Memorial Fund, RRCNA’s Foundation for Struggling Readers.
