Intervention préventive en lecture-écriture

What
Intervention préventive en lecture-écriture (IPLE) is a highly effective short-term intervention of one-to-one tutoring for French-speaking first graders in Canada.

Who
Intervention préventive en lecture-écriture serves the lowest-achieving French-speaking first graders—the students who struggle to catch on to the complexity of reading and writing in their regular classroom instruction.

How
Students receive a half-hour lesson each school day for 12 to 20 weeks, one-on-one with a specially trained teacher so they can catch up with their peers.
Intervention préventive en lecture-écriture
Intervention préventive en lecture-écriture (IPLé) is the reconstruction of Reading Recovery in French.
IPLé is implemented in Canada in individual schools, entire school boards or districts, or by provincial departments of education.
The Canadian Institute of Reading Recovery (CIRR) is a charitable organization with a board of directors, and holds the royalty-free license for the intervention in Canada. The CIRR ensures that the intervention follows the Standards and Guidelines. As well the CIRR provides professional development for Trainers, Teacher Leaders, and Teachers through conferences and resources.
